In that lovely little town lives Future Foods Farms, the aquaponics farm and restaurant combo which I will go and intern with. I'm quite excited as I get to work with a now retired power plant guy, who designed his own system for monitoring and automating tasks for the plant. He is now shifting his tech over to aquaponics and is just as excited about changing the world as I am, which feels so good. The head guy and chef seems to be pretty business savvy which is good. I have a lot to learn from him on how to balance running a successful profit earning business while doing it in a sustainable fashion.
I plan to start my drive down in two days and then stop in Portland, SF, as well as rejuvenate my spirit in the redwoods. I anticipate landing in socal in about 9 days from now.
