About me

I quit my job as a 911 EMT in Santa Monica five years ago.  I went to Haiti and volunteered at the country's only trauma hospital for a month.  When i came back, i was no longer going down the medicine route.  I then went to Hawaii and led two, two week trips for teenagers cleaning up beaches, helping with habitat for humanity, and surfing of course.  Some of these kids had extremely wealthy parents.  Yet they told me at the end of the trip, i was their first real role model.  I cried.  At that point i transitioned to activism, or so i thought.  I drove across the country over four months to stay with my favorite author for a few weeks.  I asked him about his activism work, and he told me he was focusing solely on an online radical honesty workshop.  It wasn't my spot.  Since then, i became a medical software consultant and that's funded my journeys to Thailand twice, to Florida for an 8 day radical honesty course and to New York to dance with Unicorn Smack.
I then most recently traveled around Europe for four months learning about love and relationships.

I want to save the world, particularly the environment and all of the neat creatures living in it.  I'm not sure how i will save the world.  I think it'll have something with shifting the way people think about what they value; that people start valuing a good healthy planet instead of money, profit, and "stuff."

Lately I've been building in my mind an automated aquaponics/aeroponics system.  Baby steps.
